I am a professional theatre consultant, with a PG Certificate in Theatre Studies from the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK. (Class of 2010), working with young aspiring actors. Associated with Apeejay Schools, Kolkata as a Theatre Teacher since 2012.

I have worked as an Executive (Sales and Promotion) for Ratna Sagar Pvt. Ltd. The organization deals with the publication and promotion of school education. I have worked for a year from 2011.

Major areas of Exposure & Achievements in Theatre, Drama Dance & Music:

Worked as an “Anchor” for various social & entertainment programmes for “DHOOM” TV channel, selected and worked as an actor for Buddhadev Dasgupta’s new film on Tagore’ s work and Satarupa Sanyal’s new film about young people. Acted as a lead actor in the play “Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall” directed by the film director, Anindita Sarbadhicari.

Presently Directed a play Lady Chatterrley’s Lovers – Undone based on Lady Chatterley’s Lovers for the theatre group Part Time Lovers. It was a full house show at the GD Birla Sabhaghar and earned a raving review from the audience. She also acted in the film Anwar ka Kahaani, directed by Buddhadev Dasgupta.

Creative Writing:

Attended a comprehensive workshop on poetry writing conducted by British Council, Kolkata.

Written and published poems in the NIE Times of India, Little Magazine, and Karma (School magazine) etc. Articles based on education and psychology of the young was published in the school magazine and the student’s edition Times of India.

Also written plays for the school theatre club and for OGLAM, Bally (West Bengal).

Western Music: School Band in 2004. Presently performing as Lead Vocalist (Hard Rock & Latino) with bands: Orient Express and Midnight Hues, Kolkata.
